So you should use the destination as the action of a form and the link becomes the submit button
GistOf 2020-09-09 16:10:35
I hope I’m making sense
GistOf 2020-09-09 16:12:22
If you run route:list, you’ll se that there is no GET route for the path you are using. There is a DELETE one. That’s why Laravel says 404

I think if the request methods is not valid, it should throw “the route is expecting Post method..”, isnt it?

True

True

Then in that case does the problem on the method or in the link

His problem is in the link. He’ll have to fix the method too when he’s don with the link

{{
url(“/categories/category/delete/$category->id”)
}}

This should work. I see (s)he explicitly made the delete route a GET one. I think this fixes the problem

Anyone implemented CK editor with custom upload adapter

Instead of CK editor you can use Summernote editor it’s really awesome.

SummerNote WYSIWYG Text Editor Save Images To Public Path In PHP Laravel | StackCoderStackCoder
When the user fills SummerNote WYSIWYG text editor with some text, images and uploads then save these images to specific public path and update textarea content with this path and store the content in the database using PHP Laravel.
flyingdragons 2020-09-09 16:52:33
If needed Summernote saves image in database as base64 seamlessly.

I tried 5 to 6 different editors. But this one I really loved a lot

In laravel 7 the function run but didn’t run at laravel 8 why ?!

Maybe yes, because it’s not reliable for performance oriented large-scale enterprise applications

It’s sounds like Myth, Many enterprise uses laravel,
But some are not because laravel is not get easy to implement on any core layer of their Tech Stack…
Most of uses c/c++ & Java based Solutions on core architecture

I’ve been too busy to look at Jetstream, but from what I gather, it uses Tailwind. I don’t like that Taylor is trying to push for the adoption of Tailwind just because he’s so fond of it.
Laravel is bigger than him. His personal preferences are not as important as they were in Laravel versions 1 to 4

Yep and I also agree with your points. UI side should be based on popularity and mostly used framework like bootstrap. It can be seen clearly that tailwind is being promoted. Paginator has option to switch back to bootstrap.

2020-09-09 20:40:17
Even i checked components and classes for tailwind, for each and every silly thing there is a class, who remembers that?

Uikit is far better than this.

Example: the admin is able to allocate a client for that user and have a queue above 5 clients online

I could be wrong, but I think that is called functional CSS. It’s made to be that way. One class does one thing. Some people prefer it that way. I don’t

That’s also true. Mmm so now we have no option left except using tailwind with new l8.

2020-09-09 22:39:42
Too many things in l8, one will get hard time to do with bs4 or bs5
GistOf 2020-09-09 22:41:37
You have to use Tailwind when using Jetstream, but for other things, it’s business as usual
DesolatorMagno 2020-09-09 22:42:50
At the end you don’t need to use the template, and you still will have the functionality.
GistOf 2020-09-09 22:44:12
Reny, you’re right, but do you see that it makes a developer work a lot on the design side of things

I hope someone in the community is working on a Bootstrap-based alternative
DesolatorMagno 2020-09-09 22:46:32
For small projects or low budget maybe, I am used to buy a template and work with it, so for examples, i just use the form for login but i use it in the template view.
DesolatorMagno 2020-09-09 22:48:00
It kinda suck that they just let bootstrap outside, but is not a deal breaker for me.
GistOf 2020-09-09 22:48:24
There are a number of views though. But I agree with you that on a large project redoing less than 10 views may not be a big deal
DesolatorMagno 2020-09-09 22:53:08
Working with CSS FW is always a headache when you try to work with things like form using component, they would need to make a copy for each view so it work for each css FW.

We will just have to wait and see, if the users make a package for Bootstrap, for my side i will try working with the TALL stack, in the worst case scenario i hate it and just lost a few hours.

2020-09-09 23:32:22
Most of the features ui is made with tail, if using latest, one should use the default things rather than any other alternative. Good thing is that now people will try and work with default css framework which might b little hectic for few days…
