Do you realise how much work it is to convert those templates. Have you actually done it yourself? People who keep saying “you can overwrite the templates with Bootstrap versions” are missing the point of scaffolding

Auth scaffolding used to be real scaffolding. It was a productivity boost. I’m glad Laravel UI still works

Jetstream is for those who don’t mind designing the rest of the app in Tailwind. A lot of us are just buying Bootstrap templates. That’s why Laravel UI makes sense. It generates views that can easily be used with most Bootstrap based layouts

That’s OK when I have simple permissions and I used spatie package for that before
But in this project I need to different permissions for one user based on another model reference (I called weblog)
For example you can manage posts on weblog 1 , but on weblog 2 you can create post only
So I need something like that :
$user->weblog($id)->permissions …

For complex permissions I just use gates and policy alongside the basic permission.

Tailwind is not related to Apple, but I’ll tell you this: A person who uses a MacBook is more likely to use Tailwind than a person using a PC
