Probably it’s becaouse of php version.
I have updated my php version a few days ago and composer still like this :
“php”: “^7.3|^8.0”,

When you compare you take both sides.

It is telling you, you have a PHP version outside the package accepted range.

And you don’t just update the php version, you need to check first if you can do it, that mean checking every package (outside Laravel core) and the documentation for the Laravel version you are using.

what you have to understand is for most people coming from other languages/frameworks, documentations are really poor. So most people avoid them out of that trend. Laravel is the one of the exceptions.

I know, but nobody is able to teach step by step for such a basic question. There are many video/text tutorials over the internet.
I think it’s better to ask more specific question rather than just “how to configure”.

exactly

natghi2010 2021-04-09 18:12:27
My policy is try something your self before asking.

question is question
i think we can’t define whom to ask or what to ask classmate!

Yes, I’m just saying how to ask effectively.

i know you but your question might be a joke for someone and at the same time a complicated secret for someone else

we should ask what we don’t know
this is everyone’s right

amir_0787 2021-04-09 18:19:31
by respect
DesolatorMagno 2021-04-09 18:20:09
Still, saying, one should try for oneself to get the answer before asking, where is the problem? be it easy or hard doesn’t matter here.

no the issue isnt that

natghi2010 2021-04-09 18:22:04
the issue is the habit. If you have a trend of always asking when there is an error, you will always be dependent.

the question asked above, is a clear indication that the developer didnt research because it is there in the documentation.

Sorry for misunderstanding.
I was just wanted to guide him to solve the problem. Rather than just tell him the answer.
It’s better to teach a man how to fish rather than just giving a man a fish.
DesolatorMagno 2021-04-09 18:26:56
Besides, asking “did you read the documentation” or “what have you tried already” is a good way to start and to know where the person is at the moment, i have no problem with helping, but (at least for me) i don’t like to be a reemplace for GOOGLE where some ask a question, get the answer and just copy paste without learning a thing.
