Can someone explain the difference between integration tests and end to end tests.

Integration testing basically means testing how parts of your software come together and work.

natghi2010 2021-07-06 22:55:38
End to end testing is when you put your self through the shoes of the user and go through each step to do a certain activity.

Can someone explain the difference between integration tests and end to end tests.

The difference is in the way you look at the tests. If you were for example testing a car, integration testing would be: does the motor and wheels work so that the moter turns the wheel where as e2e testing tests if the driver can drive the car backwards.

Can someone explain the difference between integration tests and end to end tests.

In large software, integration tests happen early in development just as you are building parts of system because it is way easier to manage. Later on when these part start working together, it gets harder to trace the issue. Towards the end e2e tests are usually conducted.

Laravel 6 Advanced – e7 – Repository PatternYouTube
The Repository Pattern is a common refactor that you may encounter in large Laravel applications. While it is not ideal for small to medium projects, it’s a perfect solution for those applications that need an abstraction of the data layer.
