What you don’t sure about?

We deal with movie rental to our clients.
For each client, the first name, last name, address and phone number must be known. This information
will be used if the DVD(s) are not returned on time. In that case, we will get in touch with the client and
ask her/him to return the items borrowed.
We usually have several DVDs for the same movie.
Each copy is identified by an inventory number. It also has a specific spot in the shop. This spot is
characterized by a row and a shelf number. Several movies can be on the same shelf. Usually, we try to
group all the copies of the same movie together. The spot can change over time.
Categories help roughly classifying movies, for instance: horror movies, adventure, comedy, western,
and drama.
When a client wants to borrow a movie, we first check that he has returned all the borrowed movies and
has no payment pending. If everything is fine, we create a borrow record, containing the client reference,
the borrowed item reference, its title, the return date and the cost.
Our clients as well as we need to know for each movie the name of the director and main actors. For each
movie, we also store its title, category, country, main actors, summary, and the age category.

I believe tables should be named as plural
ElleAx 2020-12-19 18:08:54
and so?
piterden 2020-12-19 18:13:41
horror movies, adventure, comedy, western and drama.
Are not categories but genres
piterden 2020-12-19 18:14:28
You should store movies separately from disks
piterden 2020-12-19 18:15:17
Also there can be a few movies written to one disk
piterden 2020-12-19 18:15:43
So you need M-M between them
piterden 2020-12-19 18:16:58
What is payment pending?
piterden 2020-12-19 18:17:55
How much will you earn when you will finish?
piterden 2020-12-19 18:20:24
It is too difficult task to make it for free
ElleAx 2020-12-19 18:20:42
yes it is
