Did you adjusted the values as per your need? There is no syntax error I believe
Deb_575 2021-05-05 11:34:28
What is the version of MySQL
Deb_575 2021-05-05 11:41:28
Yeah you need to
SET foreign_key_checks = 0;
rodrigo_tc7 2021-05-05 16:39:00
Just set integrity with On cascade delete
rodrigo_tc7 2021-05-05 16:46:19
Sorry On delete cascade

You should not create triggers dynamically.
Or your colleagues will kill you and fry your meat over fire and eat.

Can triggers be even created dynamically I don’t know this one? Which rdbms supports that please tell me

What do you mean by that, dynamically?

I suppose that is just too create a trigger while the operations against the DB are running.

This any DBMS can do.
But the developer shouldn’t do this.

Mysql workbench is a client utility u don’t add databases there
You need to install MySQL community server as well to create and access databases
You can get db dumps from github and other sites it’s available on internet

Hi friends, I’m working on mysql tables and I have a question. If the data of a column is empty, will there be a problem for normalization or not?

Hi friends, I’m working on mysql tables and I have a question. If the data of a column is empty, will there be a problem for normalization or not?

NULL value should cover it…

Windows 10 64bit

Pick windows from the list, download installer and follow steps

Enjoy! 🙂

NULL value should cover it…

mysql_en-9615.jpg
Like this?

hdy1t 2021-05-08 12:43:59
And for normalization;
DownloadTable
downloadID = 1
download date = NULL
?
jurgen_dd 2021-05-08 14:59:03
hdy1t 2021-05-08 12:42:28
Like this?

That should do the ticks… Now DBMS treats all the “empty” places as NULL.. which can also come handy in queries later on…

jurgen_dd 2021-05-08 15:00:19
Oh just make sure you dont actually type NULL into column… when you create table add option so column is NULL…that way DMBS will automatically add NULL when you dont type in anyting
hdy1t 2021-05-08 15:03:50
Oki but how can i normalize that column?
jurgen_dd 2021-05-08 15:08:21
hdy1t 2021-05-08 15:03:50
Oki but how can i normalize that column?

What exactly do you mean by normalize?

hdy1t 2021-05-08 15:10:38
Normalization like 1NF 2NF..
jurgen_dd 2021-05-08 15:12:06
hdy1t 2021-05-08 15:10:38
Normalization like 1NF 2NF..

You would do that on the table itself… example would be… add unique primary key to it, leave download date as it is… Artists column… replace artist names with Artist ID.. thats gonna be related to new Artists table…

jurgen_dd 2021-05-08 15:12:35
hdy1t 2021-05-08 12:42:28
Like this?

Like over here already, Billie Holiday is being repeated 3 times…

hdy1t 2021-05-08 15:13:16
Yeap i did them and also i wanna normalize date column coz date column data may repeat..
jurgen_dd 2021-05-08 15:13:42
So in the table you’ll have foreign key…for artist thats is exactly the same value as primary key in artists table
