When would I use Master-Master and when Master-Slave?

When would I use Master-Master and when Master-Slave?

master – slave is for implementation of hot stand-by schema, for example.

Hi guys good morning.
I work a lot of time with oracle and SQLServer.

And now I work with MySQL 5.6 version.
And I have a simple question , anyone have an script to see locks transactions?

Marco 2021-06-11 22:30:18
Other question.

What is the similar in MySQL
Example
Linked server = SQLServer
Dblink = oracle.

What we use in mysql

This must be shown in the output of

show engine status innodb

Yes I understand.

There is no possibility to query other server from this server in MySQL

There is no alternative to linked server. But if you use Mariadb which is a mysql fork you can use connect engine to achieve this feature, connect engine is available from mariadb 10.5

Marco 2021-06-12 01:34:40
Thanks Deb .
Tomorrow I will take the information about this

But because we use saas in aws + rds I can suppose that it’s not possible

Can you switch from RDS to EC2?if so then you can benefit from UDF

M-m literally never. M-s when you do not use any clasterization tools like galera or gp or ndb
