how can I get Query Cache Hit Rate?

Simply Turn this query cache off…
It is not needed

i need a query to calculate this : Qcache_hits / (QCache_hits + Com_select)

Yes your formula is correct
But the query_cache parameter is now removed from mysql 8.0 it would have been easy to calculate the hit ratio previously.
You can run SHOW VARIABLES LIKE ‘%query%’; and check the available parameters in newer mysql version.

Hi all, I have non-partitioned table in master and partitioned table in slave . When I start replication lags keep on increasing.. I don’t have any index on slave table except PK(id, created).
madno 2021-08-16 13:12:52
It is taking locks on several rows.
madno 2021-08-16 13:13:04
What might be reason of this

Hi all, I have non-partitioned table in master and partitioned table in slave . When I start replication lags keep on increasing.. I don’t have any index on slave table except PK(id, created).

it is not clear what kind of issue do you face. it is quite common to take lock on rows and replication lag is quite common as well. for the first issue would be good if you will elaborate it. for replication lag… you can try to set sync_binlog= 0, trx_commit=2 for a some period of time but do not forget to revert changes after

What might be reason of this

Absence of indices. Add them all and even add special indices for supporting replication procedures.

What do you keep this slave instance for? What is the main aim of it?

I am planning to promote this slave to master

Then the structure of the db must be identical. How do you expect it to work after the swap?

It will be planned master failover, when all the slaves are partitioned

Create indices, then you can use this instance as main db
