There is a way to store a new “global” variable, that doesn’t get cancelled after the session ends?

1) write a dummy plugin which will provide variable(s) only 2) create key-value table and store data there

I would do the second option, but unfortunately it’s an assignment from my prof and I can’t create new tables.

I think he made a mistake giving us this part of assignment

MySQL query / clause execution orderStack Overflow
What is the predefined order in which the clauses are executed in MySQL? Is some of it decided at run time, and is this order correct?
FROM clause
WHERE clause
GROUP BY clause
HAVING clause
SELECT
rodrigo_tc7 2021-10-31 23:13:10
Seems that select goes before group by

should i use orm in my project ?

ORM, if it is good, safes time coding CRUD operations. But what ORM s are all bad at is analitic queries.
So use ORM for trivial CRUD operations, use manual queries for forming complex data sets.
Good ORM s like Hibernate can also restore object entities from result sets written manually. This is an ideal situation

There is no such thing like order of execution of clauses of SQL and even no order of execution at all

What may be this order different from when it is undefined in any RDBMS?

Hi, any guide for MySQL partitions
svart 2021-11-10 23:58:36

madno 2021-11-11 00:01:20
I got that, but facing a issue. Doing table partitions on slave first then on master. After table alter on slave , getting row locks.
svart 2021-11-11 00:03:51
not clear what do you mean. row lock is something that you always have
madno 2021-11-11 00:08:34
Transaction to a comes in the following way on master
1. Begin
2. Insert into table
3. Update table where I’d=above id
4. Commit

In slave , PK(ID, created),
Partition by range(to_days(created))…
update query is locking million of rows for single row

svart 2021-11-11 00:09:56
how did you find out that it locks million rows?
